Kevin Lew
Marketing and Project Manager
The corpus callosum between the right and left brains that are Karen Solomon and Mike Flynn, Kevin first interned at Opportunity Green last year as a disillusioned Anthropology/Chinese Senior at UCLA. After stumbling upon the readings of Jared Diamond and E.O. Wilson as well as experiencing OG07, Kevin realized that his passions for innovation, design, communication, and sustainable development aligned with the manifesto and vision of Opportunity Green. Having marketing experience in the fashion industry, communication skills from years of work in customer service and living abroad, and a deep interest in generating collaboration at an international level, his future role at Opportunity Green became clear. After running off to China for the summer to continue studying language, martial arts, and pondering his future and purpose in life, Kevin has returned to the office focused and ready to explore the seemingly endless possibilities at Opportunity Green. The future Kevin envisions include trips around the world with his parents, collaboration with East Asia (especially China) to create a sustainable future, and an electric Jeep Wrangler to carry him wherever he dares to venture. -

Jessica Boone

As a child I grew up in the military. Living all over the South and for a while in Europe. My parents moved us to the Mojave dessert when I was 8 and they have lived there happily ever since. I have been taking pictures since before I could drive. I worked in a portrait studio for 4 years during Jr. College, then attended Chaffey College for a couple of years. When I left Chaffey I had surpassed most of my photography skills and was doing mostly digital illustrations by the time I left. Click Here for more info. -

Emilie Cowan
President
Emilie brings a broad range of expertise to our management team. When Emilie worked for Senator Carl Levin in his Washington DC office, on environmental policy, she quickly realized the importance of being conscious about one’s community and how one should build and design within it. She spent time working overseas on community development and advocacy projects, specializing in resource management and sustainability, and occasionally living in alternative conditions (such as sharing a hutch with a chicken), in India. While completing her Masters in Business Communications, she worked for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance, focusing on the development and implementation of a large Sustainable Development program throughout Australia (she did not live with any marsupials but did develop a penchant for kick boxing - coincidence?). Upon moving back to the US, she continued her career in high-end real estate sales and development for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. It was there that she refined her passion for new business operations, project management, client relationship development and strategic partnerships. -
Shaheen Sheik-Sadhal
General Counsel
After years of traveling the world as a singer/songwriter and entrepreneur, Shaheen Sheik-Sadhal developed her legal career as a business and intellectual property attorney at Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow. Recognizing her passion to help build socially conscious companies, Shaheen became a contributing writer for Ideal Bite and in 2009 launched her own business law practice focusing on green companies, including technology, sustainable products and green living. Shaheen graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and U.C. Berkeley and is honored to be part of the Opportunity Green team as its General Counsel. -

As a team member for Brand Neutral, Julie produces media content and marketing materials for both in-house projects and clients. Current projects include a multi-platform sustainability program for kids called Green My Parents and an iPhone App for women’s health and lifestyle brand, Healthy Bitch, a spin off of Skinny Bitch.
