Christopher “Moot” Poole started 4Chan.org an anonymous blog – basically no rules. There are lot of good and bad sides to it, but the greater good is creating a pace for people to share their mind. He caught the eye of TED where he was voted as the winner of The World’s Most Influential Person of TIME. The anonymous community helped make it happen by voting for other nominees couple of times over. On top of that, the community decided to vote to arrange the names of the next 21 nominees to spell “MARBLECAKE ALSO THE GAME”

His site was also responsible for conversations that led to the arrest of the cat abuser within 48hours. The anonymous community did online CSI cross referencing photos and information on various social media sites and within 2 days had the name and address of the culprit.

Thats the true power of the internet
