Companies need to identify emerging technologies and ideas developed from a range of industries in order to really make a difference. Molly's discussion of open innovation showed how companies can actively seek out and adopt new ideas. It is amazing how many companies are passive in their sustainability efforts and only integrate merging technologies when forced to. Becoming sustainable means more than adopting existing best practices.
